This issue of Wildcats 3.0 catches us up with Sam Garfield the account who did not wish to stay on at headquarters of Halo Corporation. Marlowe (Spartan) bought another accounting firm and installed him as the office manager after disolving the account firm he purchased in order to gain Mr. Garfield's (and Mr. Dolby, his partner's) in house expertise. It seemed that Mr. Garfield didn't have the stomach to deal with Marlowe and constantly thought him up to something (he was usually right, but that's besides the point.)

In this issue Mr. Garfield is having a bad day. He has realized that much is going on in his office that he is not, and never will be, privvy to. He gets frustrated enough that he goes to visit his father (which is the person who sold his original office out from under him.)

Long story short, he visits his father and leaves feeling less satisfied than if he'd never gone. This frustration comes out in traffic as he's driving back to his office. Unfortunately it targets someone Mr. Garfield is ill equipped to deal with and after a midtown chase that ends with him rear-ending a car, and that cars owner attacking him (and him shooting the car's owner dead), he speeds off trying to find Dolby.

Dolby is in his apartment but won't answer his phone. Garfield shows up and tells Dolby what he's done. Dolby's reaction is misread by Garfield who can't know that Dolby is dealing with some guilt issues of his own (see issue #10), and he leaves. Garfield is then arrested and sent to jail. We see at least a week or so of his incarceration and use as a "Boy Toy" by other inmates, then he wakes up. Spartan is standing over him. He then goes on to explain to Mr. Garfield exactly what has transpired in the last several hours, and it seems that Mr. Garfield can thank Marlowe/Spartan for not being in jail. Especially since it was an undercover (But Wanted) cop that he had killed.

Marlowe comes clean with Garfield about why he bought the accounting firm he placed Garfield at, and it is a shocker!

All in all this issue catches us up with the former accounting partner of Mr. Dolby (Grifter 2) and brings him into a more exciting lifestyle, while gauranteeing that he does have a place both in Halo and with The Wildcats 3.0 team. I Loved It.

This series continues to delight me each month. Even though I still miss Automatic Kafka I am in a way thrilled that its demise led me to try some other Joe Casey titles. I am certain I'll be with this one for the forseeable future.
